Many of you know that Jelecos feels strongly about giving back to the community.   We recently conducted an informal survey and found that about 40% of us regularly volunteer or are involved in local fund-raising organizations.  All of us willingly donate our time or money to better our community and all Omahans.

I am active in the Susan G. Komen foundation.  Since October is Breast Cancer awareness month, I recruited my co-workers to raise funds for my cause.  As the team captain, I organized jeans days, a raffle and a contest or two along the way.  We all got involved and our team wore pink for our final day.

We set our fund raising goal pretty high, and yet we managed to exceed our goal by 113%!!  It's great to share your workplace with such fun, like-minded people.
