There’s the old adage “Give credit where credit is due”; I feel that we’ve always made a concerted effort at recognizing the efforts of groups and individuals who have performed well at their jobs. But it’s an area where an organization can always improve, right? This year, we rolled out a new way to formally recognize these employees – we call them the Jelees – think Oscars, Grammys, Dundees (for all you Office fans).
The Jelees consist of a handful of categories: teamwork, customer service, innovation, continued excellence and efficiency. We feel that these specific categories exemplify the characteristics that have made Jelecos, as a technology services company, what it is today and what it will continue to be for years to come.
The recipients of each award are announced at the end of the year at our holiday party. Last year we presented 4 awards:
Continued Excellence: Renee White
Continued Excellence: Theresa Williams
Customer Service: Greg Mooney
Teamwork: Ryan Broermann
If you have had the opportunity to work with any of these individuals, I think you would agree that each was deserving of being recognized.
Oh, one last award that I forgot to mention… the Lifetime Achievement Award. With every other lifetime achievement award, a video is necessary to recap the recipient’s achievements and to have those who’ve worked with him/her speak to their contributions to society.
So without further ado, the 2008 Jelecos Lifetime Achievement recipient:
